Roma Tomatoes are a variety of the tomato that are less juicy and laden with a mild flavor that's unlike the tangy one that other tomatoes have. For starters, you will need the supplies and seeds. The seeds could be just plain Roma seeds or you may purchase Roma starts. Get soil that has all the necessary nutrients. You may also supplement this by getting fertilizer for the additional nutrients that the plant would need.
Also get a soaker hose for the water, because as you know watering is an integral part of growing plants. Lastly, you will need a shovel. No planting will happen without a shovel since planting involves digging up the earth.

Growing Roma tomatoes is often a hard task especially if you are a new grower. I don't want to discourage you, though it can be a very time consuming exercise. You plant the seeds in nutrient rich soil and keep under greenhouse conditions or you can place the tray with the seeds at a warm window sill with directs access to sunlight.
The seeds should stay there for two months or so. At this point, regular fertilization and watering is important for growth. When frost has passed you can transplant the germinating seeds in an outdoor garden.
If you do not want to wait for two months for the seeds to germinate, you can plant the Roma tomatoes from starts. This is an much easier process. You can purchase the starts from a nursery near you and transplant them once frost has passed. Frost usually kills plants due to the temperatures dipping below freezing point.
The ideal conditions for transplanting starts is in soil that is full of nutrients coupled by a full sun. You begin by digging a hole large enough to envelop the Roma tomato plant until its first set of sprouting leaves are covered. By covering the lowest set of leaves, you aid the plant into developing a strong root system.
The soaker hose comes into play when watering the plants. Tomatoes need an abundant water supply, thus by means of a soaker hose you can ensure the plant is constantly watered. The frequency of watering depends on the type of climate you are experiencing, if it is too hot, you have to water daily, if the climate is mild then you could skip a day.
Roma tomato plants should be fertilized about weekly. The ideal fertilizer should be an all purpose one or one that is made specifically for tomatoes, and the instructions should be followed to the letter, because under fertilization or over fertilization could both have drastic effects to the tomatoes.
