Guest lecture at NDIM

New Delhi Institute of Management (NDIM) established in 1996 has been identified as an A+by AIMA-IMRB Survey 2004 and 2005 Business India in 2005

. The institute recently organised a guest lecture by Professor Ajay Kaira of Carnegie Mellon University from the US.

Prof .Kaira is an Associate Professor of Marketing at Tepper School of Business, CMU. His areas of specialisation are quality assessment, salesforce compensation, and promotional strategy.

Prof Kaira enlightened the packed auditorium at NDIM with his masterly presentation on Effective Promotional Strategies for Indian Brands. The issues involved are of topical significance for Indian Managers as Indian brands are facing tough competition even at home from the foreign brands. Prof Kaira gave a comparative picture of Indian and American brands and their promotional techniques and suggested ways on how to improve the presentation of Indian brands.

The highlight of the event was the question-answer session where NDIM students and faculty members participated with great enthusiasm. Prof Kaira also gave important tips to students on how to be effective professionals and better managers of time.

NDIM, a premier B-school of the country, is renowned for its foreign faculty lectures. As part of its PGDBM programme, reputed visiting faculty from top foreign universities are regularly invited to share their expertise with students. it is also rated among the top 14 B-schools, including all Government and private B-schools.

In addition to the AICTE approvals since 1996, NDIM is accredited by the National Board of Accredition, Government of India since march 2004. NDIM was the first among three Management institutes in the country to get Government approval in 1996. NDIM boasts of a world-class faculty which comprises 38 full-time leading academicians with vast and rich experience in the field of specialisation.

The full-time faculty is assisted by more than 100 prominent senior executives from corporate houses and industry as visiting faculty. The institute is equipped with modern infrastructure, state-of-the-art Computer centre and a fully computerised library. it has also been identified as the best management institute in North India by Financial Times, London, on the basis of placement record, faculty, board of directors, corporate tie-ups, functional campus and course curriculum.

NDIM has a good reputation because of the special emphasis it lays on all round personality development and individual growth of the students so that they fit into the corporate world conveniently. This is done through personality grooming programmes, public speaking, mock interviews, aptitude tests, MNC interactions and regular training sessions with top trainers of the country.
