There is a special version of Golf cart that is suited for rough terrain and off road trails. They are often known as buggies and are a modified version of the conventional Golf cart. Buggies from branded companies are very expensive and so hence people go for a normal cart and then they modify it.
By doing some modifications you can make your cart suitable for rough terrain, moreover like buggies. Some of the modifications are the windshields, tires, steering wheel, lift kits etc. They are discussed below.
Windshields: It is one of the main modifications that have to be done. As the cart is to be used in rough terrain, it is sure that the path will be dusty and so protection against it is necessary. You can avail the option of a fold down windshield. This enables you to use them only when you are in need of.
Steering wheels: They were not considered as an essential part of the vehicle, even though they were needed for controlling the vehicle. ATV Tires: ATV stands for any terrain vehicle. These are specially build tires for giving the vehicle a firm grip and traction over very rough and muddy tracks. They are extremely durable and give a smooth driving feel. It is one of the most important modification when an off road buggy is considered.
Lift kits: Lift kits are specially built suspension kits which gives the cart a goof lift and clearance from the ground. They enable the cart to be loaded with bigger tires and protect the body of the cart from impacts due to bumps and rough landings. They also increase the suspension giving a much smoother driving experience.
Custom built buggies are muscular looking and are often very expensive. But the ATV's or off road buggies are sure to give you a good driving experience.
