Gurnee Kia Dealer Sees Value In American-made, Redesigned Sorento

Kia has been steadily moving up in the U.S. auto market and wants to continue that upward climb. So when consumers indicate they want a certain model or specific features, Kia listens and responds. The redesign of the Kia Sorento SUV is evidence of Kias effort to please the buying public.

Gurnee Kia buyers may remember the Sorento when it came out in 2003 as an unwieldy and not-very-efficient SUV that didnt offer much in the way of competition for other brands. But never say never in the auto industry. The Sorento became an unexpected success because it had a price that didnt send buyers into a panic attack.

Now we are all more sophisticated and we expect a luxury-like list of features for the price of our first car in college. Weve become more demanding and auto makers are responding with better quality and more affordable prices, or at least some cheap financing.

Buyers of Gurnee used cars will be thrilled with the changes in the Sorento and how it has retained it value. The 2011 Sorento is a lighter weight, more maneuverable and efficient vehicle. The body is still good looking and Kia has added 15 percent more interior space. Rather than the previous electronic all-wheel drive system, the new Sorento boasts a full-time all-wheel drive. Even better, it gets almost 30 mpg.

The 2011 Sorento will impress customers of a Gurnee Kia with its full-sized hatch. It seats five, but has the option of adding a third row to bring the load to seven and its powered by a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine and a six-speed manual transmission. The LX trim has automatic transmission and the EX trim adds 18-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone climate control and fog lights.

The new design has shaved off several hundred pounds from the Sorento, giving it much smoother and quicker handling which braking and cornering. Amenities include anti-lock brakes, electronic stability control, electronic brake force distribution and downhill brake control.

Official pricing has not been released yet, but customers of Gurnee used cars will be glad to know that Kia expects the price to average about $25,000. Adding all the extras could boost that price up closer to $30,000. Not only will this allow Sorento to compete with other brands like Honda CR-V, Chevy Equinox and Nissan Murano, but its warranty is above and beyond - 10 years and 100,000 miles.
