Though you can insert a 2.5 inch hard drive, but at an extra cost.

As this laptop is designed to suit the Indian environments, there is a shock-proof, dust-proof and durable design. Due to its lightweight and compact design, you can carry it easily anywhere; at home, in office, in bus, in aero plane, gym or virtually anywhere where working on a larger laptop is not a convenient option. It is very lightweight at its 1.4Kg.

The 7-inch WXGA Widescreen TFT LCD screen of this laptop is powered by integrated Intel Graphics Media Accelerator GMA 900 Graphics Chipset. The HCL X-Series is also said as the HCL Nano. Though there are excellent functional features, it lacks some latest features such as built-in Bluetooth, integrated Webcam and integrated optical drive.

As this HCL Laptop comes with preinstalled Linux OS which offers limited functionality, you can upgrade it to MMS Windows XP by having extra RAM and bootable internal drive. However, all this comes at an extra cost.
