HDMI extenders are very compact in size and require no special settings

. These units also support simple plug and play functionality. Since these units use inexpensive Cat5e / Cat6 cables to achieve long distance transmission, they can be used instead of HDMI cables. These extenders support HDMI or DVI inputs and are HDCP compliant. The extender consists of two units, a local transmitter unit and a remote receiver unit. The local transmitter is placed next to the HDMI source and the remote receiver is placed next to the remote LCD monitor.
