All popular search engines pop up many options for this search and online an individual can gather a lot of information about the chosen association in the area and then compare the quality of services and prices for a better idea about the agencies.

The size of the condo and the cost effectiveness are the basic structures around which the choice of the HOA management companies is based. If the condo is small or the choice is of a small building, the idea of hiring a HOA management company is futile. This is because the companies will not take up such a small scale budget due to the inability of the project to bring in the required funds and they would most likely incur losses. In such a case, self management is the proper choice and the owners should take an active part in the project.


If the condo has twenty units or more, there is usually a choice between self management and hiring the proper HOA management company for the project. In this case the cost effectiveness works for both the parties and therefore, the home owners can actually afford the HOA management companies and it is a better idea over self management in many different ways.


HOA management companies have a long standing and fruitful relation with the vendors and small service providers like the carpenters and the masons. This makes the project more smooth sailing and the owners do not have to rum to different outlets for different jobs regarding their condos. All they have to do is to lease the contract to a proper HOA company and their projects will be handled.

Of course, the cost effectiveness is a big issue and sometimes the HOA companies, in their strife to provide better quality, override the budgets on certain levels. This problem might not be an issue with self management but it also saves a lot of unwanted troubles at times and with careful supervision this problem can also be prevented or at least reduced in extent.
