HTC Wildfire S Brings a Popular Android Smartphone Up to Date

The incredibly feature rich HTC Wildfire is one of the popular mid-range of smartphones, but it had one big fault in the fact that it had a very poor resolution for the screen. This meant that the phone was not suitable for most of the tasks like watching movies and browsing the web in extraordinary definition. It has resulted in the phone being replaced with the new HTC Wildfire S, which promises to sort out all the issues that have been faced by the previous version. Even though this is an entirely new phone, the design of it will be very similar to the previous version.

This means that the HTC Wildfire S will be retaining the fond that look that has been appreciated by many over the years. It also has the same 3.2 inch touch screen display, but the resolution of the screen has been increased from a paltry 320 by 240 pixels. Now, the screen will be having a maximum resolution of 320 x 480 pixels, which puts the HTC Wildfire S in a league of its own. It will be finally making this large touch screen display suitable for watching for high definition movies, which was not previously possible. The introduction of this high resolution also means that the phone will be able to make full use of the capacitive technology that allows you to zoom in and zoom out of the screen by using the option of multiple touches.

Even when zooming in, the detail and clarity of the touch screen display remain constant in this high resolution, which was not available previously. It is going to make full use of the 32 GB memory card support that is provided along with the phone, which means that you can store a lot of entertainment files within this phone. The HTC Wildfire S is coming with a five megapixel camera that largely remains unchanged from the previous version. It still has the same LED Flash, autofocus and Geotagging features that were present in the previous version. Hence, you can still expect the same high quality images that were previously possible in this phone.

The HTC Wildfire S will be using a 600 MHz processor that might look like a slight improvement from the 524 MHz unit that was used in the HTC Wildfire, but the difference in the new processors that it is much more efficient as well as being powerful than the previous version. This means that the phone will be able to last much longer on the same battery. This fact has meant that HTC has been able to reduce the battery size for the phone 1230 mAh. The HTC Wildfire S is going to be available with all the latest connectivity options that have been included into the mobile phone industry. This will be seen from the latest version of the Bluetooth option that is using along with the 3G, Wi-Fi and microUSB. The HTC Wildfire S will be available from April onwards.
