The HTC Wildfire has always been a dream phone for many, who couldn't afford the likes of the HTC Desire HD, with its astronomical price tag. However, the phone has been around for a long time and it was just about time that HTC desire to think about a replacement product for the phone. Instead of naming the new phone in a different way, HTC has chosen to name the new phone HTC Wildfire S itself. Even though it is the addition of just one letter to the phone, it is much more than that. You will realise this once you start looking at the features of the phone.

The HTC Wildfire S will be a phone that will be sporting the same 3.2 inch display like the previous model, but it is going to be displaying images at a far greater precision than the predecessor. This is due to the increase the resolution of the display from a measly 320 x 242 to a whopping 340 x 480. This huge increase in the resolution can be realised only by taking a look at the images in the phone. The HTC Wildfire S will be capable of full HD playback, not only because of the extraordinary screen, but also due to the powerful processor that is present in the heart of the phone. It is a processor that might be rated at just 600 MHz, but the huge amounts of RAM that it has its disposal makes it extremely good at running this phone.

Also, it will be using the latest 2.3 version of Android and this operating system is known to be much more efficient at utilising the power at its disposal. Hence, the HTC Wildfire S will be able to make use of the power from the 1230 mAh battery to much effectiveness. The HTC Wildfire S will be capable of taking images at a resolution of 2592 x 1944 pixels due to the powerful five megapixel camera in the rear of the phone. Even though the phone does lack in the secondary camera, it is more than equipped with this powerful camera, which more than makes up for it. The LED flash and autofocus options in the camera make it extremely good at utilising the high megapixels at its disposal. The connectivity options in the HTC Wildfire S can be only described as being truly varied due to the presence of options like 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

Such a high amount of features in the phone makes for interesting reading because not only will you be able to transfer the content into the phone from your personal computer, for example, but also transfer it back as well. All the transfer operations are pretty quick as these are some of the latest versions of the connectivity options. The HTC Wildfire S will be available under the Three network in the United Kingdom from May onwards, although the company did not exactly reveal the prices of this new phone from HTC.
