HTC Wildfire S Set to Dominate the Mid-Range Smartphone Market
The HTC Wildfire S is the phone that is all set to replace the HTC Wildfire in the mid-range smartphone segment. The HTC Wildfire has for long held the position as being the best mid-range smartphone, but it seems that the time has come for this successful model to retire into the sunset. The HTC Wildfire S will be the one that will be taking its place and it seems that it will be more than well-equipped in order to do so. Even though it will not be any different from the current version in terms of the design, it is certainly going to be in terms of every other feature.
The design of the new HTC Wildfire S is almost exactly similar to the HTC Wildfire except for a few details. One detail that will not go unnoticed has to be the resolution of the 3.2 inch screen. This touch screen display used to support a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. This is nowhere near the levels of resolution that are provided by the competition and HTC has updated the resolution to a whopping 320 by 480 pixels. This significant improvement in the resolution has meant that the same touchscreen display, who size remains unchanged, will be better to look at. The HTC Wildfire S will be coming with a five megapixel camera that will be bringing the autofocus and LED options to the forte. These options will be enhancing the image quality massively and it is also going to get the video recording option as well.
Even though there is no secondary camera in the phone, one will be able to appreciate the number of connectivity options that are present in it. They will be including the likes of the 3G connectivity option, which will be capable of supporting up to 7.2 Mb per second when it comes to the download speed. The Wi-Fi connectivity option in the HTC Wildfire S is also no slouch either and is capable of supporting even better download speeds. The download content can then be shared using the Bluetooth or micro-USB option that is also present in the phone. All the connectivity options that are present in the HTC Wildfire S will be using their latest versions. The HTC Wildfire S will be coming with a 600 MHz processor that remains unchanged in terms of the rating from the previous model.
However, HTC has made some slight changes to this processor in order to make it even more efficient and powerful. This is seen from the fact that this processor will be able to run the Android 2.4 Gingerbread operating system, while the previous processor could run only the Android 2.1 operating system. The HTC Wildfire S will be powered by a battery that is rated at 1230 mAh. The launch date of the phone in the United Kingdom will be arriving in May of this year. Three network is going to provide the contract options for the phone in Britain.
