Hair care with a difference

These days, many consumers source most of their beauty care accessories and hair products online.

After all, the internet offers a plethora of choices and provides good value for money.

However, most people still venture out to the hairdressers every so often in order to get their locks cut as they desire.

One woman who offers such a service, but with a twist, is stylist Tammy Rands.

According to the Sandy Post, the professional, who has worked in the industry for more than 31 years, runs a salon that focuses of providing clients with a personalised and relaxing experience.

Her business is filled with Victorian furniture and accessories, has lace curtains on the windows and serves a selection of beverages.

She sometimes spends up to an hour on haircuts if she deems this necessary.

Ms Rands claims she is able to suit each hairstyle she creates to the lives of the people she is dealing with.

She also uses her charm and calm voice to relax clients.

Commenting on her services, she said: "This is not a busy salon. I do one person at a time. The waiting area is conducive to relaxing; kind of a home environment - Victorian style. I try to make it a memorable experience for everyone."

She added: "I work hard to satisfy people's hair-styling needs to the best of my ability. With my clients I have a bond that gains their trust."

As well as cuts, Ms Rands offers perms, colours, colour-weaves, braids and men's colour, as well as styling for elegant social events such as weddings.

While the popularity of sourcing beauty care accessories and hair products online is a trend that is likely to continue to grow, there will probably always be a demand for professional hairdressers, as consumers enjoy being pampered and would struggle to achieve the looks they desire by themselves.
