Many movies have a great scene that takes place in the kitchen, and one that comes to mind is in Wall Street when Bud Fox (Charlie Sheen) and Darien Taylor(Daryl Hannah) are in the kitchen, in a sort of a montage sequence where they are preparing that amazing looking dinner in their brand new apartment after having just moved in together! It is truly an important part of the movie, and showcases how their new-found wealth and their love is able to be enjoyed in something simple, such as preparing and enjoying a romantic dinner together!

Shop Girl: Two great scenes come to mind...you have Ray Porter (Steve Martin) and Mirabelle Buttersfield (Claire Danes) having breakfast in his kitchen and it is a cute scene, and there is the other scene where the camera alternates between Ray Porter standing in his kitchen eating Asian food with chopsticks while drinking wine, and Jeremy (Jason Schwartzman) standing in his kitchen eating fast food with chopsticks and drinking a fountain drink from a paper cup. It is a hysterical contrast between the two characters, comparing their ages, their economics, their style of dress, and mode of living, however...they are both happily eating, so maybe the film at this point is showing how people are all the same?
