Harnessing The Potential Of The Subconscious

What is meant by the subconscious?

What is meant by the subconscious?

The conscious and the subconscious forms the two parts of the human mind. Think of it as an iceberg. The conscious mind is the part that can be seen floating over the water while the subconscious is the part of the human mind that is hidden underneath the water surface.

The subconscious is the repository of all of an individuals life experiences, beliefs, memories, skills, and all the images hes ever seen. It is where everything that a person has ever learned is kept.

The conscious mind is responsible for logic, thought, and calculations, actions that are done under an individuals complete control. On the other hand, the subconscious mind is responsible for the feelings and emotions that one experiences when dealing with new situations. The subconscious also controls such bodily functions as breathing and heartbeat. It is often described as an individuals autopilot.

It is entirely possible to increase ones mental power and working capacity to the extent that an individual may seem to have superhuman powers through the stimulation of the subconscious mind. Individuals who have harnessed and put into action the power of their subconscious mind have been able to accomplish great, sometimes near impossible, things. They describe the experience as similar to being carried by an immense power that is both distinct and greater than them.

The first step is to understand how the subconscious mind operates so that we can make the best use of its potential. Keep in mind that the subconscious and the conscious mind have the following differences:

1. The conscious mind uses rational thought, while the subconscious operates in symbols.

2. The subconscious is good at doing things that we already knows and have done previously. These include our skills and habits. The conscious mind, on the other hand, is good at figuring things out.

3. Contrary to the conscious mind, which works hard to understand things, the subconscious does not care how things work and will use the first thought that comes across.

4. The conscious mind spends time in determining the working of things in order to gain information. The subconscious, on the other hand, tends to proceed by doing things that had worked in the past.

Our life skills as well as our control over our emotions will improve once we learn how to make these two parts of our mind cooperate.

Consider these tips in training your subconscious.

Because the subconscious mind acquires knowledge via repetition and not by logic, you need to first make a mental picture of what you desire. For example, if you wish to direct the subconscious to produce physical health for you, picture the idea in your mind's eye. You have to feel its meaning with consciousness. This process of visualization needs to repeatedly done several times a day.

Provided that the two are touching each other as the directions are being made, the subconscious will respond to the impression, suggestion, desire, expectation, and the direction of the conscious mind. For this situation to occur, the mind must be in a meditative state, calm and poised.

The subconscious mind possesses the power to remove what we dont desire from our physical and mental state. All that is required to do this a very clear picture of what it is we do want. We need to define a goal.

Do not focus on failings, shortcomings, or bad habits. Remember that whatever we think about deeply or intensely, the subconscious will take up and develop even further. Focus instead on positive thoughts.

Concentrate on one thing at a time only. Focusing on too many things will confuse the subconscious.

Using your whole mind, both the conscious and the subconscious part, to finding a solution to any problem, will always result in a solution. This is because you are, in effect, using your full potential.

In training the subconscious, practice makes perfect. The more we train, the easier the whole process becomes. We must show determination. We need to believe that that the system will work. We also need to give the process sufficient time to work.
