Critics and moviegoers alike have praised the movies based on J.K

. Rowling's Harry Potter book series. Fans of the books have been thrilled to see the characters they have spent so many hours reading about come to life in the blockbuster films bearing the same titles as the books. On November 19, 2010, fans will be able to watch the first part of the final story unfold; they will have to wait until July 15, 2011 for the second part to come to theaters and finish the epic tale. The Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows movie is being released by Warner Brothers studio in a normal 2D format as well as in 3D.

The Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows movie follows the same trio of Harry, Ron, and Hermoine as they attempt to find their arch enemy Voldemort's secret to immortality. The stakes are high, however, because Voldemort and his evil henchmen are hunting for Harry Potter, trying to capture him and bring him to Voldemort. Harry's only chance is to find the Horcruxes, the key to Voldemort's immortality, before he is captured. In the process, he learns about the legend of the Deathly Hallows and the final adventure begins to take shape.

The film studio debated long and hard before they opted to make the last book into two separate movies, but there are several reasons they decided to do so. The sheer length of the book would make it very difficult to keep true to the author's story while still making a normal length movie. In addition, film makers have explained that the highly emotional nature of the final chapter in this long series deserves careful attention to detail and time for the characters to end their own personal stores properly.

Pre production teams for the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows movie started on January 26, 2009. Filming at Leavesden Studios commenced on February 19, 2009. According to the director, David Yates, hand held camera work has been used frequently in order to create a new feel.

Some outdoor locations were used for filming, including London, Swinley Forest, and Freshwater West. Filming was completed on June 12, 2010; crew members actually cried on that final day, as it marked the end of 10 years working on the Harry Potter films.
