The Forty Mile Canyon in Utah has some great hiking, and you can do it year round. The hike is challenging but doable as you wander among the trees and travel along Forty Mile Creek. When youre ready to relax you can splash through the 12-foot waterfall and its pool or several other shining watering holes.

From the peak of the San Gorgonio Mountain in California you can see an amazing view. Rising high above, this trail and its summit are popular among visitors and Californians alike. There will be nothing to hinder your view of the wide blue sky and puffy white clouds from so high up. From the Rocky Mountains in the west to the Appalachian Mountains in the east, there's a multitude of beautiful summit views to be seen.

For a bit of unconventional camping, there are some spots that are catered to you. If youre up for a little skinny-dipping at dusk consider the Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park in Michigan. The freshwater of Lake Superior creates a soothing environment to play around and enjoy the beauty around you. Escaping from the city is a great chance to watch the skies, and you can do some serious stargazing at Mount Wrightson Wilderness, Arizona. High on the tree-free summit you can see the Milky Way like youve never seen it before. Though it's not most known for camping, Hawaii is also a great destination for camping and adventure.

From sunbathing and swimming to eating and drinking, campsites offer some of the best entertainment around. Traveling alone or with friends and family, getting out in nature is surely the best way to appreciate it. As long as you have an idea, you won't lack for opportunity as you get out and experience Mother Nature.
