Got A Slow Computer? Time To Fire Up A Free Registry Scanner
It is frustrating to say the least to have your computer begin to run slower and slower. Maybe you even have times where is freezes altogether or you get the blue screen of death.
Sure, we could spend hours talking about the various causes of a slow computer, but hwt you need now is a fix. A lot of time the culprit in slowing your computer down is its registry and to determine if this is the cause of your current problems you need to run a free registry scanner. This will let you know if you should purchase the software necessary to fix your registry or whether you need to look at other causes besides your registry for the problem.
Free Registry Scanner Step #1
Go to the free registry scanner website and locate the button or linked labeled free scan. It should look something like this.
Click on the button and you will get a pop up that looks something like this.
Free Registry Scanner Step #2
Click on save or if you are given the option click on run. If you saved the file, navigate to the place where the file has been saved. Most likely this will be in your download folder. Click on the file and you will get a pop up that looks something like this.
Click on run. Sometimes certain types of protective software will block registry scans, but if you are dealing with a good registry cleaner you can ignore the warnings.
You then should get a free registry scanner screen that looks like this.
This screen will install the free registry scanner on your computer. Do not worry because you can easily uninstall these applications once your are done using them.
Free Registry Scanner Step #3
Follow the installation instructions and when you are prompted to do so launch your free registry scanner. Once you get your report I would run the free registry scanner again just for good measure. In the end you should end up with a report that looks like this.
From this report you can see that this computer needs some attention to its registry. I can either do this manually through regedit or buy good software to do it for me. Since I am not a super geek I am going for the software route. There is good, free software available on the internet, but I have never found the best free stuff to do the job that the best paid stuff does.
