Have You Hugged A Tree Lately?

Have You Hugged A Tree Lately?

Have You Hugged A Tree Lately?

Soul Recovery teaches us to truly appreciate Mother Earth. She has provided everything for us from our bodies (made of earth), to our clothing, to our shelter, even to our wealth (gold). The magic of this planet that we is carefully balanced and cared for by such a beautiful and powerful "Oversoul."

For this reason, Soul Recovery practitioners often check our "roots"; the energetic roots that help us with the careful balance of our personal systems. We must learn to give AND to receive. Without one or the other, our systems cannot balance and energy remains "stuck" or stagnant in our systems. Our energetic root system is paramount in allowing Mother Earth to give us what we need to sustain our systems. She is so kind as to provide for us, as long as our channels are open to receive. She is so kind as to allow us to release into the magic of our Earth any toxins or pain that we may be harboring in our bodies. Without this release, our systems hold these poisons, possibly resulting in anger, disease, pain or instability.

Trees are connected. The wisdom of one tree includes all of its neighbors, as well!

It is imperative that our roots dig deep enough into the Earth so that we may reach the treasures that are waiting for us. Soul Recovery also helps us to make sure that our root system is clear; not letting anything block our roots, as to disrupt the natural flow of balance.

As I reflect on our world today, it seems that many of us are under a tremendous amount of stress. Time is moving fast, and we are all multi-tasking at lightning speeds. We don't rest, with our cellular phones, computers, televisions and fast cars. We work 24 hours a day, always within reach of anyone who needs us. Now, more than ever, we need to turn to Mother Earth to help us stay "grounded" or "centered."

Spend some time outside, enjoying the fresh air. Put your feet flat on the ground, and feel the energy and power beneath your feet. And . . don't forget to hug a tree! Aside from becoming labeled as a "tree-hugger," you will find another benefit. The roots of a tree dig into the ground to keep it standing up. The roots also serve to help with its balance. Through these roots, it is able to absorb nutrients and release toxins. When you have a chance, lean up against a tree. Lean with your spine aligned with the length of it. Close your eyes and feel the depths of the tree.

You will feel "centered" and "grounded." The day will somehow lose its grip on you, allowing you to stand and begin to command the day, instead. Enjoy the magic that Mother Earth has provided for us. And while you'e at it, don't forget to thank her, too! :)
