I am quite happy that my husband is interested in Dominican Republic holidays as
that means that soon we will be jetting off to a tropical paradise where I can spend my days and afternoons tanning on the beach and sipping cocktails all day long. I hate to admit it but when it comes to taking holidays abroad Im really the lazy type, Im the sort of beach bum you always see on the sun loungers, never getting up except for filling up my drink up and with a good book in hand. Although Ive said to myself it would be a good idea to look for more historic and cultural holiday destinations for our holidays I simply cant bring myself to say no to the beach, and even when were on holiday its hard enough for me to tear away from my sun lounger.
But this time around I may be enticed to participate in more resort activities and fun entertainment as we will probably be travelling there with another couple and wed probably like to do things with them (at least every now and then). Its good for me because finally Ill have a compelling reason to get out of that beach chair and enjoy myself in a different way.
We heard a lot of great things about the Dominican Republic, so we figured that we would like to check it out for ourselves and that our accompanying couple would also have a great time over there. We love checking out new places in the world because life is too short to just stay in one Caribbean beach (and I should know because Ive tried nearly all of them!). I feel good knowing that I can actually take some time off to enjoy myself far away from the crowds and everything else that is clogging my mind. Getting away every once in a while definitely feels very nice, and it seems that the Dominican Republic is the most interesting place for us to visit this year. Ive heard the resorts over there are great fun and include plenty of activities for us to do as two couples travelling together. I can't wait to go see what it is all about because I am just ready to have fun and leave my beach lounger behind.
