The suitable times for the Pacific Humpback whale-watching in Hawaii are dawn and dusk of a day. Once the calving season begins in January, some charming calves also will pop up in the shore. It is recommended to stay at least 500 feet away from the whales. Since, it is illegal to go nearer than that, boat operators cut their engines and wait for whales themselves to come near the boat. Once the winter gets over, these whales return to the Arctic for spring season.
