Hawaii Pacific University: Study And Rest Are At Hand

Sun is shining brightly. The sea waves are tickling your feet. The wind shakes palm trees. No, this is not the Heaven. This is the Pacific Ocean coast where Hawaii Pacific University is located. This educational establishment located in a great city Honolulu with a tropical climate provides a great variety of off-campus activities for students. Hence, students can attend different theatre performance and concerts, visit greatest museums and galleries. Everything seems similar, like in other universities. Still there are some tangible differences.

Theatrical and museum activities:

The Blaisdell Centre is the place where the most outstanding events take place. You can contemplate different theatrical performances acted by amateurs and by professionals. Students also have an opportunity to participate in these measures. Apart from acting, it is possible to enjoy the artistic works at Honolulu Academy of Art displaying the collection of about 60.000 works. This is the place where students can enrich their knowledge on art, history, and culture of the city, which will be quite helpful for the academic process in the University.

Another interesting event taking place in downtown campus is First Fridays, a display of local talents in art happening the first Friday of each month. Student can learn on various cultural venues.

Historic venues:

The main historical venue that student can explore is Iolani Palace, the ancient residence of Hawaiian monarchy and the Honolulu Festival, a multicultural events where students can enjoy three of days of art, dance, and music celebration.

Sport opportunities:

Due to the peculiarities of Hawaiian climate, students are engaged in quite exotic kinds of sport, like body boarding, scuba diving, golf biking, surfing, and wind sailing. Student can both participate and contemplate sport events, such as the Honolulu Marathon, the Ironman Triathlon, and the Triple Crown of Surfing.
