Hdtv Is The Best Yet
One of the greatest inventions of the twenty-first century has got to be HDTV
. Forget all the advances in clean burning fuel, electric cars and medical science; they all pale in comparison to the majesty of HDTV. HDTV has single handily renewed millions of people's faith in the power of television. Television has once again become the center of the homes entertainment universe and it has never been better.
There has never been a better time to be a fan of the genre. This is not an argument to say that what is on the television is of a higher quality and any better than its predecessor. Some might argue that the shows themselves have actually gotten worse as far as substance and quality, but the way they look is amazing. If you were to rate the different eras of television on looks alone, the newest generation would win going away.
But, even though the shows themselves might not be any better, except for the nature shows and nature documentaries which have only gotten more spectacular, you have to admit that they look great. But then again, you don't have to actually watch the stuff that plays on the networks or cable channels. That is what DVD and Blu-ray are for. Have you watched an episode of Magnum P.I. or Knight Rider in HD? They are just as awesome as they were in the eighties, even better.
All the old television shows can be purchased on DVD and most of them can be bought on Blu-ray. You could literally watch TV for the rest of your life, every night and only watch re-runs on DVD and Blu-ray. You can watch all the classics and see them looking better than they ever did when you watched them the first time. The same goes for movies. Movies have never looked or sounded better than they do right now. Watching a movie on Blu-ray, on a high definition television is awesome.
The picture and the sound are the closest they have ever been to the vision of the filmmakers. What you here and see are what you were meant to see and hear. You don't miss a thing. The difference between the BD and the DVD are huge and it really is a difference that even non technical people can see and appreciate. All the movies that you would want on DVD look even better on Blu-ray .
