Health And Safety Training Online Is A Way To Hit Back At All The Bans.

As an employer, there is a legal responsibility to ensure and protect the health

and safety of employees and other people, such as members of the public or customers who might reasonably be affected by the work being undertaken.

As society is becoming increasingly encroached by law, certain activities that used to be commonplace are now either drastically reduced or consigned to history completely.

For example, the tradition of the pantomime Dame throwing sweets like Blackjacks or Fruit Salads into the audience for them to catch is no longer allowed in some theatres, because of the potential to cause injury.No theatre or theatre company wants to be faced with a lawsuit for throwing a few sweets for some fun when their play already has to be produced to a tight budget.

School trips now have to undergo a considerable risk assessment before they would be approved, which is perfectly understandable. However, it is a sad state of affairs that many teachers who in the past would have happily organised a school trip for children would not even consider running it today due to the potential threat of a lawsuit.

Many schools and companies today are preoccupied with the task of avoiding being sued.

This is not the whole story however.

It can be argued that companies use Health and Safety as an excuse not to take risks, as they are worried about legal action as a result of someone who is on their premises being hurt.

Many employers are unaware of how liable they are for injury sustained on their premises, and it can be a challenge identifying all the risks early and taking the necessary precautions to prevent injuries before they happen.

In general employers must ensure employees receive training necessary for their health and safety, and this can be done by completing a training course and obtaining a Health and Safety certificate online.

At a newly refurbished bar and restaurant, to give the outside a rustic feel a small stone building was erected in the corner of the beer garden for purely aesthetic purposes, it was no bigger than a small garden shed.Children were using this to climb on and play inside while their parents enjoy sitting outside.If any child was to fall from the top of the building, there is a good chance that they would be quite badly hurt, and the landlord of the bar would have been liable.On noticing the children the landlord immediately had a sign produced to place on the building stating that it was not a childrens playground, thus giving suitable warning to prevent potential injury.
