The Dean of Science and Health Careers at a local college attested to the new phenomenon of health care employees choosing their own working hours. Beginners may be stuck with 'dirty' jobs, and demand is so high that some are limited to working weekends.

Medical transcriptionists also have the advantage of learning a great deal about medical diagnosis and treatment. These jobs are not rigid at all. Countless numbers of part time jobs are available in medical transcription.

Those studying dental hygiene at the College of Lake County undergo clinical rotations for the nearby naval base, working on new recruits. Graduates leave school, claiming one of the highest entry level salaries and the most flexible schedules of any health care profession. Though there are few full time positions in dental hygiene, they retain their flexibility. For those who want part time jobs in order to have more time for their kids, this is a strong point. Right out of school, these professionals merit up to $30 per hour and are some of the most highly paid professionals in America. Though, because most jobs are part time, the high pay often does not include benefits or health insurance.
