There are three ways in which the United States in the areas of health today care reform debate, which is a comparison and contrast between these three options. (1) no real change The first possibility is no significant change in the system. This is making the choice of the insurance industry, the billions of dollars of profit even in this economic recession. This is the decision by the Republicans and "Blue Dog" Democrats pushedin the House and Senate, they actually bought from the insurance industry. This is also the election, we can dismiss quickly, because we do not continue on the same path that we are now. The system we have now seriously broken. It costs more than any other system in the world, but our current health care is far worse than many other nations. The U.S. health care system is ranked # 37 in the world by the World Health Organization and we are ranked 50 in the lifeLife expectancy (yes, that people living in 49 countries, means more than we do on average.) We have over 50 million uninsured individuals. Furthermore, it is more than just a health problem, it is also an economic issue. If our current system remains unchanged, our nation into bankruptcy. (2) The Public Option The second option is "The Public option." This is pushed by President Obama and a majority of Democrats in the Senate and House. It allows theCreation of a "public health" similar to Medicare. This plan would choose the people either with their current health insurance or government plan, rather than to stay.health care This would drive down costs because the government plan would be cheaper than private insurance plans are available now, and would force the new competition, the prices of private insurance. So even if you do not select the option to be public,would be a positive effect. The public option is a compromise between the first position and change the 3rd Position that is true, universal health care known as "single payer." (3) Single Payer The "Single Payer" is the state. This means that everyone would be covered health care needs of a national health plan.
