Healthier Alternative To The Flu Shot
I've spent some time in southern California recently and was shocked to see how many businesses are pushing the flu shot
. Grocery stores, malls, pharmacies, airports, and workplaces are advertising low cost and even free vaccinations against this year's flu. Well, I can think of a lot of other ways than injecting mercury, chicken embryos, and an Asian virus into my body to fight off the flu.
There are videos and articles all over the internet describing how the flu vaccine is made and frankly it's fighting. U.S. Health officials travel to Asia in January and February to isolate the flu viruses and assume the same viruses will arrive in the United States the following fall. I don't know much about infectious disease, but I do know that viruses mutate. These viruses found in Asia ten months earlier are mixed with mercury, chicken embryos, and some other toxins and injected into your body to prevent the flu? Gross! I beg you, do some research before you get a flu shot or give one to your children. There have been a lot of mysterious deaths of children who had recently received a flu shot over the past few years.
The good news is that there are a ton of ways to build and strengthen your immune system to fight off seasonal colds and flu. Raw fresh fruits and vegetables are loaded with immune building and naturally detoxifying phytonutrients. Carrots, sweet potatoes, asparagus, red bell peppers, broccoli and dark leafy greens such as spinach, kale, romaine lettuce, turnip greens, collard greens, and beet greens are great immune builders. Beneficial immune building fruits include blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, cranberries, red grapes, pink and red grapefruit, red apples, bananas, mangoes, tangerines, nectarines, peaches, oranges and watermelon. Nuts and seeds that are high in omega 3's such as sunflower and pumpkin seeds, ground flax meal, hazelnuts, walnuts, almonds, and cashews will also help build your immunity and keep the flu away. Fermented vegetables and kombucha tea help balance intestinal flora which is vital to a strong and healthy immune system.
So now you know how to build your body's inner defense system, but what about the exterior? How do you prevent someone on a crowded subway from sneezing into your breathing space? (Sorry to be so graphic.) I got this tip from my acupuncturist years ago and I haven't had so much as the sniffles since I've been doing it. I carry a bottle of tea tree oil in my purse and anytime I know I will be in a small, closed in, or poorly ventilated space, I rub a little tea tree oil around my nostrils, holes in my ears, and on my lips. Tea tree oil is a super strong anti-viral, anti-bacterial, and anti-fungal agent.
Now that you are armed with alternatives you are ready to face whatever nasty little buggers come your way. So, please, think about foregoing the chicken embryo - mercury - toxic injections for you and your family and try the natural way!
