Another way to change your life style is adopting good eating habits. The first thing you should do is eat regularly, preferably five times a day. Breakfast should include foods that release the energy slowly, such as porridge and oat meal. During the day, you should eat small portions, in order to allow the body to absorb all the vital nutrients. You should avoid starving because this will create stomach and bowel problems. Try to eat slowly and in small quantities, avoiding carbohydrates before bedtime. It is good to walk for a few minutes before going to sleep, as this will help to stimulate the blood circulation and to reduce your glucose level.


When you eat foods that contain proteins, try to find the proteins that regulate hunger and the production of glucagon, which is the hormone that is responsible of controlling the fat making properties of all the other hormones. Your foods should contain fibre to help the digestion; even fibres that are not digestible are useful to create the sensation of a full stomach, and also contain less calories.

Drink at least 3 litres of water during the day and avoid bread and sugars as far as possible. If you can include vegetables, fresh fruits and cereals in your diet every day, then you will have made a sound start towards a healthy way to lose weight.
