Kerala, the south western coastal state of India is one of the ten paradises in the world recognized by the National Geographic Magazine

Now let us go through the hills of the Sahyadri where numerous hill stations await you. Munnar, Wagamon, Nelliyampathi and Wayanad are some of the most famous tourist spots of Kerala. Two of these hill stations, Munnar and Wagamon, are situated in the Idukki district. Munnar is at a height range of 1500-2700 msl. It has a cool climate that ranges between 10-15 degree Celsius in winter and upto 25 degrees Celsius in the summer. This area also houses Eravikulam National Park which protects Nilgiri Tahr, a mountain goat. Once you are in Munnar, you can enjoy mountain trekking and enjoy the neatly manicured tea estates. Near to Munnar is Anamudi Peak, the highest peak of the Western Ghats. The nearest places of visit are Mattupetty, famous for its dam, Pallivasal hydroelectric project, Chinnakanal, Anayirangal, Top station, tea Museum, Raja Malai and CSI Church that was made in 1910.
