Helicobacter Pylori and Preventions

Helicobacter pylori also known as H pylori is a bacteria that is responsible for most of the chronic gastritis and ulcer in human body, especially in the digestive parts. H pylori bacteria usually enter into the body through the mouth and gradually passes on to the stomach and intestinal parts. People suffering from this illness undergo an inflaming sensation in the stomach coupled with bloating and stomach contraction.

These bacteria are found on the upper gastric tract of more than 50% of the people in the country among which 80% of the people inflicted with this bacteria do not show any sign or symptoms of the illness. Many do not even realize its existence in their body. But here are some of the ways by which an individual can contract helicobacter pylori.

H pylori is a contagious disease which generally spread through the use of contaminated cutlery, glasses, towels and many more; even a kiss given by a person suffering from h pylori can transmit this disease.

Some times it can also spread when you come in contact with the infected fecal matter or vomit and touch your mouth with the same hand without proper cleaning.

H pylori can also be transferred from an infected person to a healthy person when they eat from the same plate or contaminated food. There are even chances for a health person to acquire these bacteria if the dishes or utensils are cleaned or the individual bathes in the untreated water.

If there are pets at home like cats and dogs then always be cautious to wash your face and hands after coming in contact with your pet. Since animals are known to carry such infections and can transmit it to humans.

As far as possible drink clean and fresh water. Drinking water from any unsanitary or unreliable source can infect h pylori into the human system.

These are some of the precautions that you can keep in mind to stay away from Helicobacter pylori.

Though there are no specific symptoms that could be stated to identify the H Pylori bacteria; the signs that generally involve are nausea, sudden loss of weight, burning sensation in the abdominal part coupled with pain, vomiting, having problem in swallowing, having bloody stools or vomit and bloating. However, the signs and symptoms can vary accordingly from mild to severe but if the symptoms are found to be severe then immediate medication is required to treat the illness.
