Helpful Hints about Marketing!
Whatever your ideas for your next marketing campaign you must include some workable strategies to see any profitable results. If you're planning a major email campaign to introduce your latest and greatest widget you need a plan. Just throwing a bunch of pictures and text out there on the internet may not get any results. You must first set down and outline a plan for promoting your opportunity. Where to start and what should you include in your plan are legitimate issues. There are varied thoughts on what is the proper procedure to obtain outstanding results.
First of all nobody knows who you are or what you're all about. At this point in your endeavor they don't even care because they've never heard of you let alone the product you're about to introduce. The process of marketing online is not a flash in the pan type of approach. You must make a specific plan and then work that plan aggressively. There will be many times in your marketing career that you must rethink your approach and possibly totally take a different direction to your promotion strategies.
Whether you're an individual or a major corporation, you must first determine that you and/or your staff can handle the workload if your campaign is even remotely successful. What have you accomplished if you're business opportunity appeals to the masses and you or your staff can't handle the workload your campaign has generated? If you can't handle an influx of new leads and your leads become stale, then you have just wasted time, money and opportunity that can never be recovered.
Once you're confident that you can handle the traffic then follows that all important task of contacting those prospects and presenting your new found widget for their consideration. Keep in mind that not everyone is going to be interested in what you have to offer, so don't get discouraged if you don't close every prospect who may respond to your campaign.
Some people are natural born salesmen and their closing ratio may be much better than yours, but that doesn't matter, just do the best you can and your potential clients will see your sincerity and will respond accordingly. We want to share with you some of the basics you may want to follow in order to get the most out of your marketing efforts.
First of all you want to consider what day of the week you want to start your campaign. For me just before the weekend has always worked rather well. More people are home and kicking back catching up on their e-mails, working on the computer and may be in a better mindset to accept your ideas.
Do some experimenting in this part of your marketing project and see which day is best for you. Don't be afraid to make some change here .... the secret of successful marketing is to consistently e-mail some form of information to prospects. Few will break down the door to do business with you unless you have something that is extremely valuable to them personally. We all hope and pray for such a problem to develop in our campaigns.
If you are strictly on an email kick then historically the best time to send out your email is mid-morning or right after lunch. I don't know whether there is any scientific evidence of this or not, but it's worth a try. You should have some form of monitoring plan to keep accurate records of the best time for your opportunity. Once you've established that information then use it to your advantage and use it often. This information should include replies as well as those who may unsubscribe. Don't take a rejection here as personal. Just keep up your plan of attack and do what works best in your project.
Monitoring your responses will help you to minimize problems that may eventually occur such as link and spam issues. Make comment notes on any issue that may occur and resolve those issues promptly.
Now it's time to deliver that email and the final step should be creating and email that is attractive, but not too "spam like" so the customers will take the time to read about your opportunity and find your information easy to navigate.
Don't use a scatter gun approach on any marketing campaign. Be specific in your plans and follow those plans until you prove to yourself that you need to change your approach. Be specific yet flexible and you should do well.
Statistics show that offering something of value may produce some better responses to your opportunity emails. Be careful here because it can get expensive rather quickly. My personal feeling is this is business not a reality shopping show on TV and you must approach your prospects totally different than your competition so you can capture the attention of the user.
The only information you need from the prospect is a place for their email address. Requesting to much information can kill your chances of getting any information at all. If the potential client wants some additional information, such as a news letter or reservations to attend a webinar, they will see that you get the information you need to fulfill their request.
Make it convenient for your readers to unsubscribe if they so desire. Don't make the customer feel trapped with no way out. Put yourself in the customers shoes and respect their wishes.
