Once you have your first good pair of headphones to help cut through the low quality mp3 files
, the next step is to build a high-quality audio library. One of the first, and easiest, things that you can do is raise your import quality in iTunes. One thing to note is that as you raise the quality, since there is more digital information being stored, the size of the audio file will become larger. That's why I usually recommend someone new stick with 320kbps mp3 audio. It has more of the audio quality characteristics of a cd, but is a much smaller sized file.
