To add to that list, there should be an endless supply of paper towels and trash bags and liners. Paper towels are easily disposed of after one use. Trash liners should be placed in garbage cans immediately upon emptying. There will be no need to worry about carrying germs from one room to another.

Because mold, viruses, mildew and other germs lurk all around, ideally exposure needs to be minimized. Offices will require different care for computer equipment and desks. Hard surface cleaners are great for desks, but now there are wipes made specifically for desk surfaces. They are soaked in a cleaning solution.

For a computer keyboard, cleaning with dust cloths is a good idea. Dust cloths can also be utilized for clearing away dust on wood furniture. Using them for high areas such as ceiling corners, ceiling fans and lighting is ideal.

Vacuum use is excellent for carpet, but it is best used with a HEPA filter. Hardwood floors can be handled by use of a vacuum sweeper. For harder stuff a mop and floor polisher will give a deeper cleaning experience, as well as add shine. Cleaning a small amount of garbage from hardwood floors is easy with a dustpan and whisk broom.

Medical buildings and places that deal with food preparation need to disinfect areas and bleach is an effective way to sanitize. They clean most surfaces, including floors. When used in hospitals and restaurants, sections that are often touched all day by different people can be cleaned with a bleach solution. It also works to disinfect garbage cans.

Create a checklist as each room is evaluated. It is amazing to see just how similar and how different products are depending upon the room in which they will be used. As changes are made and janitorial supplies become more advanced, one should be ready to adapt.
