Can Valtrex prevent recurrences of all herpes types?

To minimize the risk of recurrences, you need to follow a healthy lifestyle in general. This is because the medicine only works for people who have healthy immune systems. People with impaired immune systems, as in those with HIV and kidney problems, won't be benefitted by Valtrex. Also, organ transplants tend to weaken your body's natural immunity. So Valtrex therapy for preventing HSV infections from occurring in future will not be helpful if you ever had your kidney or bone marrow transplanted.
