The 2010 Audi TT enters the 2010 model year with a major redesign that greatly improves the fun quotient for this car
. Gone is the 3.2-liter six cylinder; Audi has opted for a four cylinder turbo that returns much better gas mileage while retaining the 2009 model's performance. The base four cylinder turbo-charged engine delivers two hundred horsepower at six thousand revolutions per minute, and two hundred and seven pounds of torque at five thousand revolutions per minute.
Coupled with this power output is great fuel economy; the Environmental Protection Agency has estimated that the Audit TT with this engine option will return twenty-one miles per gallon in the city and twenty-nine miles per gallon on the highway. The engine employs a sequential fuel induction engine to feed the premium unleaded gasoline to the dual overhead cam valve train. Another feature that differentiates the TT from its competitors is the standard all wheel drive system. This system, called the "quattro" system by Audi, is held over from the last model. Audi has been perfecting the system since the early 1980's, and the system helps the car have superior grip and road-holding capabilities. All of this power is delivered through a 6 speed "Tiptronic" transmission. This transmission was first employed by Porsche in its vehicles, and allows the driver to switch between manual or automatic modes when driving. Audi has priced all of these features into the TT package at a suggested retail price of less than thirty-nine thousand dollars. Whether the driver wants a luxury coupe or a premium performance coupe, the Audi TT delivers well on both of these counts.
