And plush contemporary interiors have also featured in a great many films over the years, cementing the idea of high specification homes as being a primary way of demonstrating the wealth of someone. The stunning cinematography found in the Italian film I Am Love (2009) is ably assisted by some fantastic locations, one of which is the home of the family of the main characters, in Milan. This high specification home has again been designed to give anyone who visits the characters the impression that the family is very rich indeed, which they are. Hired hands tiptoe around in plush living rooms, ornate dining rooms and superbly kitted out kitchens. The home is every bit that of an Italian industrial magnate.

These are just three films that feature high specification homes as one of their main settings. These kinds of backdrops are essential in film for creating the feeling of opulence. They also contribute to viewers wanting them even more for themselves, as backdrops to the films that are their own lives. In terms of cost, these settings are not as expensive as some settings, especially since most of these kind of filmic interiors do not get machine gunned or blown up, unless the director is Quentin Tarantino.
