Hillsong United
Hillsong United, a Sydney-based Australian Christian music band
, started their musical career in 1998 as Youth Ministry Band from Australia's Hillsong Church. Hillsong's music is 'Praise and Worship' in modern style - a mix of conventional rock and contemporary Christian.
History
The band, founded by Reuben Morgan and Marty Sampson, was first named United Live that released its first album, Everyday. Worship team of Youth ministry started writing songs in the course of 1998 and the band released its first album during 1999, by following the advice of a priest, Darlene Zschech. Reuben and Martin worked together and since then they released three albums together. After 2002, the name of Band changed from United Live to Hillsong United.
Joel Houston replaced Reuben and worked collectively with M. Sampson. Other members of the band include: Pastors, Worship leaders, musicians and song writers: Jonathan Douglass, Jadwin Gilles, Annie Garratt, Bec Gilles, Holly Dawson, Brooke Fraser, Russell Fragar and Michelle Frager (Daughter of Russell Fragar), Guitarist Michael Guy and Bass Guitarist Matthew Tennikoff along with numerous drummers involving Rolf warm Fiell and Matt Crocker (also the writer of the band). All have same intention to give voice to the passionate youth about God.
All of the Above was the first full studio recorded album of the band released during 2007. The band composes songs for their own performances as well as for Hillsong Church worship teams, performing at Friday night worship programs. Subsidiary bands perform once-a-month in London and Hillsong sponsored summer camp. Hillsong United is currently led by M. Sampson and Joel Houston. And its recent Youth Pastors are Paul and Andi Andrews.
Hillsong album, United We Stand, was the best-selling album of 2006 in Canada. The band has toured several countries and performed at several Hillsong Church locations and concerts, to raise awareness about God; however, either working in studio or out, their policy is to write songs that emphasize on truth, create exceptional sound and connect individuals with God. The band has several opportunities in front of them and determined to make use of it.

First album Everyday was released during 2000, Best Friend in 2001, King of Majesty in 2002, To the Ends of the Earth in 2003, More than Life in 2004, Look to you in 2005, United We Stand in 2006 (Best selling music album), All of the Above in 2007, The I Heart Revolution in 2008, Tear Down the Walls in 2009 and recent album Aftermath was released on 15 February 2011. After its release, album ranked as number four on iTunes's top album downloads in U.S.

The band was formed with the concept to provoke young generation to worship enthusiastically in spirit and reality. Its songs encapsulate the young generation to passionately worship God and sacrifice everything dedicatedly to Him. The band has evolved and founded as a musical band, but its manifesto is passionate worship. The music of Hillsong United is not limited to any particular area and reveals the truth about Who Jesus is!
