1933 was a turning point for technology for Wilson Staff. The advisory Staffer Willie Ogg's design for distributing weight away from the heel was extremely successful. The idea was to move the weight towards the "sweet spot" of the blade. This was featured in the Wilson Ogg-mented irons. It later turned out to be the forerunner of perimeter weighting.
