Holding An Outdoor Kids Birthday Party

Planning a birthday party for kids is usually a difficult and stressful as children can be very choosy and are distracted in a short time

. One of the ways to make a childs birthday exciting is holding it outdoors. This will go well with all the energy that children seem to have. It also gives room for improvisation of activities and games to keep the guests entertained.

The most popular outdoor places to hold birthday parties include; museums, zoo, pet farm, schoolyard and even a fire station. It should be safe and accommodate the various planned games and activities. It is advisable to let the birthday kid be involved in the planning even if it picking out the decorations or making up the guest list and mailing it.

The most important aspect is keeping the kids entertained and happy making sure there are no tears and tantrums. If there are adults invited as well, they have to be taken in consideration too. When setting up outside, ensure there is shelter for the adults to sit in and talk while the kids play. You can set up using Marquees and party tents which are ideal as they can double up as temporary eating spaces. For decorations one can use magic toys, confetti and balloons. It is also good to have an alternate indoor site in case the weather is too unfavorable.

Kids enjoy sweets, chocolates and cakes. Include popcorn, hotdogs and fruits. Make sure they are in plenty, not just for dessert but also as prizes for activity and games. It is wise to choose the menu carefully as kids will easily reject spicy food or too big portions. You could separate the kids and adults menus to cater for all needs.

The activities have to be fun and easily learned if the kids are too young. A performance by a clown will go very well for kids under 6 years. For pre-teen kids, one could choose to organize a hunt, swimming, racing sports and crafting and art. Most kids will feel comfortable with their age mates and will enjoy having competitive activities.

It is important to plan for the number of guest kids. Have a number that can be comfortably included in all the games to avoid petty tantrums and jealousy. As for the adults, they can be left to their own devices to enjoy as they wish.
