Chamomile is also quite effective when it comes to whitening the skin. For chamomile to be effective, it has to be added to boiling water, with the flowers being in their dry state. The mixture has to be left to cool down, before the leaves are removed from the mixture. Once the mixture cools down, some rose water and honey should be added to the mixture. A teaspoon of each should be fine. Apply it to your skin and let it stay for 15 minutes or so on your skin before you wash it off.

As you can see, lightening your skin does not have to be an expensive process, or daunting for that matter. These remedies can be prepared very quickly, and they are safe for your skin.
