Home Remedies for Excessive Sweating Guide

Perspiration is a natural occurrence for most people

, particularly in warm climates and during exercise. It is part of your body's natural cooling off system. Sweat glands are located in the skin and they produce liquid that is pushed to the top layer of skin as the temperature of your body rises. Usually, it can be contained with regular bathing or showering and the application of anti-perspirant body sprays. However, for some who perspire abnormally, home remedies for excessive sweating or hyperhidrosis can help.

Eliminating perspiration completely is not a good idea. Natural fibers are preferable to synthetic fabrics, which keep the sweat on the skin, not allowing evaporating. Natural fibers encourage the sweat to evaporate, making your skin healthier. Using a loofah sponge when you bathe or shower will help remove bacteria that cause bad smelling perspiration. Bathe more regularly if you are particularly active or in hot weather. Dry yourself thoroughly and lightly apply talcum or baby powder.

Bring down your body temperature by drinking plenty cool fluids, preferably water. It is said that a glass of tomato juice daily for a week will help. You may reduce this to a glass every second day after a week.

Avoid alcohol and coffee, which raise the body temperature and promote perspiration. Two teaspoons of apple cider vinegar mixed with 2 teaspoons of honey taken three times daily before meals is also said to help.

Spicy foods will also cause you to sweat. Foods that are rich in zinc can help to reduce sweat odors. These foods include nuts, legumes, whole grains and turkey. Fish and garlic may perpetuate the odor.

Many companies are now selling natural deodorants that are helpful in reducing the odor of excessive perspiration. These products are usually available at health food stores, but some well-known companies are also introducing natural ranges available in local supermarkets. A combination of these home remedies for excessive sweating should help. I personally used a sweating home remedy by following an online guide that worked for me, and you can find out more about it at my website link below.
