Apples have the acids tartaric and malic and these are known to neutralize stomach acids which cause heartburn. We all know apples are easy to find and chances are you have some in your house already. You don't have to peel the apple you can eat it with the skin still on if you like.

2. Baking soda.

This is a great home remedy for heartburn. In fact my grandma use to take this when she use to have heartburn. The bad thing about baking soda is that you can't take it on an empty stomach. Most boxes of baking soda will even have a recipe of an antacid on the side that you can make.

3. Water.

Yes water. If you don't drink enough water several bad thing can happen to you and heartburn is just one of the many. So remember to drink plenty of water. for best results you should drink it at a room temperature instead of ice cold.

4. Ginger.

Ginger is an excellent herb and has many uses. It can cure heartburn and the nausea that comes with it. You can get ginger as a powder, in capsules, teas and in ginger ale.

There are many more home remedies for heartburn but these are the most common and are used by most people on a daily bases.
