Homeopathic Treatment For Bronchitis
Bronchitis describes inflammation of the bronchial tubes

The inflammation causes swelling of the lining of these breathing tubes, narrowing the tubes and promoting secretion of inflammatory fluid.
Acute bronchitis describes the inflammation of the bronchi usually caused by a viral infection, although bacteria and chemicals also may cause acute bronchitis.
Chronic bronchitis is defined as a daily cough with sputum production for at least three months for two consecutive years.
Causes
Viral infection include the rhinovirus, influenza virus.
Bacteria include Mycoplasma, Pneumococcus, Klebsiella, Haemophilus
Chemical irritants like tobacco smoking
Risk factors:
Smoking is a key risk factor for developing acute bronchitis.
Any other illnesses that predispose to similar inflammation like asthma also increase that risk.
Symptoms:
a.Wheezing
b.Cough with sputum
c.Shortness of breath.
If any associated infection is present, the symptoms are:
d.Fever
e.Chills
f.Aches
g.Soreness
h.Malaise
Diagnosis:
a.Taking patient history
b.Physical examination
c.chest X-ray
d.cultures of sputum
Treatment:
Drinking plenty of fluid to get hydrated as hydration keeps secretions into the bronchial tubes more liquid and easier to expel.
Complications:
a.may resolve spontaneously within 2-3 weeks
b.pneumonia
c.infection of lung tissue
Homoeopathic treatment:
1.Antimonium tartaricum:
a.This remedy is indicated when the person has a feeling of wet mucus in the chest, and breathing makes a bubbly, rattling sound.
b.The cough takes effort and is often not quite strong enough to bring the mucus up
c.The person may feel drowsy or dizzy
d.feel better when lying on the right side or sitting up
2.Bryonia:
a.This remedy is often indicated when a cough is dry and very painful.
b.The person feels worse from any movement, and may even need to hold his or her sides or press against the chest to keep it still.
c.The cough can make the stomach hurt, and digestion may be upset.
d.A very dry mouth is common, and the person may be thirsty.
3.Causticum:
a.Bronchitis with a deep, hard, racking cough can indicate a need for this remedy.
b.The person fees that mucus is stuck in the throat and upper chest, and may cough continually to try to loosen it.
c.A feeling of rawness and soreness can develop, or a sensation as if a rock is stuck inside.
d.Chills can occur along with fever.
e. Exposure to cool air aggravates the cough.
f.The person may feel worse when days are cold and clear, and better in wet weather.
4.Pulsatilla:
a.Bronchitis with a feeling of weight in the chest, and a cough with choking and gagging that brings up thick yellow mucus, may respond to this remedy.
b.The cough tends to be dry and tight at night, and loose in the morning.
c.The fever may be worse in the evening and at night.
d.Feeling too warm or being in a stuffy room tends to make the person worse, and open air brings improvement.
e.A person who needs this remedy often is moody and emotional and wants attention and sympathy.
