Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Ltd. in the year 2010 accounted a growth rate of 148% selling 1,48,861 units against 60,055 units in the previous year. The most liked and trusted company of India measured a monthly sales growth of 20%. The units sold during April 2010 to October 2010 measures to be 9,58,492 and that for the same period last year measured 6,51,575 units showing a growth of 47%. The enterprise with its Honda CB Twister accomplished with 100 cc displacement engine has made tremendous increase to the sales. The bike has become the favourite of all Indian bikers and is running successfully on the Indian roads impressing the ones coming its way. The sales for this particular model of the company accounts to be 68,332 units in 2010 against 21,721 units in 2009, with a growth of 215%. Also the scooters of the company witnessed an increment of 110% selling 80,529 units in 2010 whereas in the year 2009, the company sold 38,334 units only. The company has been showing tremendous increment with its sales providing the customers with stylish and outstanding products being accommodated with latest technology. The Honda with a view to maintain its growth has decided to expand its productivity from 1.6 million units up to 2.2 million units per annum. Facing a growth in demands for the products, the company has also planned to release its new model with 100 cc engine offering features same as that of the Honda CB Twister with a low range of price and is expected to attract a large number of Indian youngsters. With this the company agrees to maintain its promise towards mankind and the worthy environment and also promises to keep up the trust of its customers.
