Prague has now officially been named the sixth most-visited European city by tourists after London

, Paris, Rome, Madrid and Berlin. With so many attractions in Prague it is not hard to see why. As Prague was damaged considerably less than other places during the world war it has been able to keep hold of more of its historic architecture.

Prague is one of the most favored tourist destinations in Europe. This city has withstood the destruction of world war and boasts of several historical sites. There are a number of airlines flying to Prague of which some offer discount tickets from time to time. To avail a cheap ticket, a tourist must find a company that offers discount tickets and book in time so that there is no trouble in traveling business or economy class.

Nearly all of hotels in prague offer 24-hour service and accept major credit cards, and English and German are widely spoken - it is only in the smaller guest houses that language may be a difficulty. Parking in some areas can be a problem and it would be a good idea to check on this prior to a definite booking. In the Old Town for example, space is limited and the only parking available may be on the street.

However, if you want to get away from the crowded busy city atmosphere then choose hotels in the suburbs. Zizkov and Vinohrady (just east of Nove Mesto) are ideal if you want to be located within easy travel distance from the city center. These areas are still very tourist orientated and there are plenty of Prague hotels located here.
