Houston Introduces 4G To Its Neighborhood
Houston is a major city with great technology needs. Just like any other city, it constantly needs to evolve in order to keep its citizens happy, in the know and offer the latest in technology. Technology constantly competes with itself, especially when it comes to the Internet world. The latest to be offered in Texas is mobile broadband Internet technology, which allows you to surf the web from your cell phone or netbook. In due time, this will be the newest, fastest and easiest way to connect to the web while on the go.
The development in Internet is one that happens every single day and is kept meticulously documented so as to be aware of the changes being made in technology field. Computers were first introduced in the 70s and 80s and before that existed in the form of a typewriter. There was no such thing as Internet, let alone mobile broadband or wireless and terms like "surfing" or "browsing" the web did not exist. Facebook's creator, Mark Zuckerberg was probably not even born yet! As years went on, the Internet was introduced in the anciently slow dial up mode and soon evolved to a basic form of wireless. It provided us with way to connect to one another on the web through sites like Facebook, MySpace, Pandora, Skype and more. With the Internet connection of old, this would never be possible.
As connectivity continues to improve, people are finding more ways to get connected. Desktop computers are no longer as popular as they used to be, and more and more people log onto the web via laptops or netbooks. Some are even using their cell phones and mobile broadband to connect to the Internet. The mobile air card allows you to connect where and when you want to, making it possible to receive information the second you want it. This type of connection, if not through a cell phone, but through a laptop, usually works with a memory card slot or USB for the wimax connector and allows you instant Internet access. Almost everywhere is now wired for Internet from coffee shops to restaurants to libraries so it's easy to find a connection where and when you need it, especially in the United States. Some states are even beginning to wire their entire cities, and Houston is likely taking note.
Mobile broadband is also being offered in a new and popular capacity, via cell phones. Many people with iPhone or Blackberry access are able to get Internet right on their cell phones with the use of the 4G network, the step up from 3G. It is transmitted through cell towers in Houston and works on a statewide network. It is not yet as popular as the 3G network that it followed, as it is still being perfected, but is certainly available in the city of Houston.
