How About TaylorMade R7 460 Driver?
Today, I want to talk about an astonishing golf club--TaylorMade r7 460 Driver. Itfeatures an extra-large, 460cc clubhead that has the highest MOI of any TaylorMade driver. That means tremendous forgiveness and long, straight results on off-center hits.
It has alarge, beautifully shaped footprint looks strong and powerful behind the ball for added confidence. Inverted Cone Technology dramatically expands the portion of the clubface that delivers high COR for consistently longer drives.
The Ultra-Thin Wall Technology of the TaylorMade r7 460 permits clubhead wall measuring to 0.6mm, which is 25% thinner than the walls of the TaylorMade r7 quad and TaylorMade r5 dual drivers. Thinner walls save critical weight, allowing for larger head sizes and more movable weight. The TaylorMade r7 460's exceptional head size contributes to high MOI for phenomenal forgiveness on off-center hits.
Exceptionally low-deep CG and massive clubface area make the ball easy to launch on a high, strong trajectory for long carry and phenomenal distance. TaylorMade RE*AX shaft with Fujikura performance technology reduces ovaling in the mid-section of the TaylorMade r7 460 while allowing the tip to remain flexible. This promotes consistency, head stability and added clubhead speed.
As it name suggests, the TaylorMade R7 460 driver has the largest permitted head of the TaylorMade range. The 2 weights in the back of the head are movable, but are further apart than in the R7 425, TaylorMade's smaller version of this club. Playing around with the weights does give the desired flight, but the head seemed a little heavier than other drivers in the market, which we think is a general TaylorMade thing.
The design of the head and sole is excellent and the sole in particular gives it a very aggessive look. The feedback at impact was excellent and the flight was penetrating and variable depending on your swing and the placement of the weights.
The TaylorMade R7 460's head seemed to be that bit larger than other 460cc drivers I've tried looking down on it. This is something I'm not fond off and prefer a smaller more compact driver head, but the club did perform OK. Probably better for the mid to higher handicapper.
