How Blog Software Is Changing Our Modern Society

Most people nowadays are either aware of blogging or are bloggers themselves

. With the advent of many types of free blog software available online today it is possible for everyone form the 6 year old discussing their favorite Disney characters to the millionare businessman to own a blog and use it for one of many reasons.

Now, since it is possible for anyone to be able to blog, it also seems to be changing the way we communicate and deal with each other in real life. Our communication attention span is decreasing with the popularity of blogging. Due to the standard length of blog posts these days (300-400 words), people have a hard time focusing on any text block longer than this.

With all that said though, I do believe free blogging is changing out society for the better. Below are a few of the reasons I think it is a good thing:

"Social Outlet: I think the most helpful thing blogging and especialy free blogging is doing for our society is that it is giving everyone a social outlet. People who would not normally be heard by other people are now blogging and being heard by their peers.

"Sharing of Knowledge: This is perhaps the best reason for everyone to go out today and blog. Free blogging allows everyone to pool their knowledge together with one another. This is perhaps the best way to solve any problem people have no, matter how personal or global.

"Public Commentary: This is similar to the other two but goes a little above and beyond. This point is specific to people's commentary on events or thoughts and views. This can be a good thing or a bad thing depending on how well the blogger can take criticism.

"Voice on the New Marketplace: Blogging is perhaps the most evident in the modern online marketplace today. With the amount of online business conducted daily, blogging serves several major uses. Blogs are used as review sites, sales pages and customer relationship forums.

With all these benefits available to bloggers, isn't it time you went out and looked into free blogging software? Everyone has something they are interested in and want to share with the world. One of the best things about the Internet is that there are so many people online in today's society that no matter what your interest there is a peer group out there.
