No doubt about it but there are a lot of courses and seminar out there to choose from if you are looking for something to hone your employees managerial skills. So then what is about the Prince2 Training Course that sets it apart, if there is anything that does and what can it do for you, and or your employees?

In simple terms Prince2 is teaches the UK Office of Government Commerce, or OGC project management methodology. So this is not some course that some self described managerial guru has put together like so many of the others that you can find out there that have come and gone over the years.

It all begins with the Prince2 Foundation Course which covers the basics of OGC project management techniques and methods. After that basic ground level course is completed, you can then move on to more advanced studies of this proven system. Now it is advanced but fun, and interesting at the same time.

It can best be described as a process oriented system that functions by dividing projects into working increments. Pieces if you will. At the same time, this system teaches you how to then prioritize the individual increments. Yet one more way to describe it is breaking projects up into stages or parts.

Now in general terms, the first step or stage is to divide up a project into separate increments, after which a team is gathered to discuss project strategy. The increments are examined, assessed with regards to what it will take to complete them in terms of resources, and they will also be prioritized.

Step two of the Prince2 System, is when and where the planning takes place. It is during this stage that individuals or groups of individuals are assigned tasks or project increments and also time frames, or completion dates are set. After that all has been done then a final completion date for a project can be set.

This third stage is when the project is directed using a planning board to monitor it. Progresses on the individual pieces of your project are tracked and as they are completed they're marked up on the board with an eye towards putting the individual pieces in place, much like a big puzzle.

The final two stages or steps are when the project is steered towards its final completion date. You will learn to schedule final product deliveries, and deal with any complications that may arise as these dates come nearer. Then when the final dates are reached, the project is closed and marked off the board as a new one is brought up.

As stated above, this is a proven system and of course there is a lot more to it than just what has been covered in brief in this short report. This course can help you, just as it has helped so many others to develop an actual operating system that you can take with you through your entire career and use for more efficiently managing projects of all types in all business genres.
