We all know what a website is. It is basically web pages stored in a common directory of a web server. Web pages are documents or resources of information that can be displayed on the World Wide Web and accessed through a web browser.
How do we go about setting up a web page?
In order to set up a web page which I am assuming is going to turn into multiple pages and become a website we need to know html. Html is the language of the World Wide Web and it can be quite confusing when you first see it. It does take some time to learn it and fortunately there are mmany online tutorials to teach the language.
Unless you just want a very plain website you are probably going to have to acquire some knowledge about CSS and javascript.
There are a few html free editors online that you can use to start putting your web pages together to make your website.
When you start to go about setting up a web page you should pay close attention to your headline. Your headline can intrigue your visitor to read on or send them quickly off your site with a click of the mouse. In this age of information you do not have much time to grab your visitor attention so your headline is key.
Make sure also that the information that is on your website is good information. Make sure you do your research and that your information is accurate.
Also I may be getting ahead of myself here but your website needs to be optimized so people can find it. You may have the best, most helpful website on the web but if no one can find it then really what good is it.
People usually find websites by typing in certain words into Google's search box. When they type in dogs they do not want to be sent to a site that has to do with teenage acne.
You need to make sure when people type in those search terms that have to do with your site that they will find your site.
Learning all the factors involved when you go about setting up a web page can take time but it is time well spent.
