When in an apartment, it is a problem for most of us on the rules of leasing

. One of which is it limits us on decorating the space to make it feel comfortable. Don't worry as there are ways on making it our own without violating the rules of the lease.

This article is about the discussion on the apartment's walls, and the things you can do to make your apartment's space a little brighter. Here goes:

Mirrors - Mirrors are your solution to add depth to your apartment. At most times, places like Hobby Lobby offers great deals on large wall mirrors in which have ornate or decorative frames around them.

These are suggested to be added to the smallest rooms in your apartment to make them appear much larger.

Photos - The use of old photos. You have many old photos that bring back great and happy memories. With today's one-hour processing available in stores like Target and Walgreen's, you can instantly use these photos to transform your living space in just a matter of hours. Find some of your favorites and play around with them. Make them into black and white prints, and then use frames with colors. These make them adjustable to fit in nearly any room in the apartment.

Stencils - One of the newest trends for those who aren't allowed to paint the walls is to use stencils. Stencils are available on many sites - one of the most well-known is Etsy.com. And, you can find stencils in nearly any design, from nature-focused like trees and flowers, to things like children's characters and nursery patterns.

Make a collage - Collage with the use of old magazines and reading materials. Start with a collection of your favorite pages, graphics, and quotes in a magazines and old newspapers. To have less hassle, cut them out and store them in a folder until the time you're ready to use them. Once you have gathered around 20-30, make them into a sort of a wall collage. Your personal touch makes it more beautiful and its fun to do as well since it was your own creation and is based on your own taste.

Curtains - Hanging colored fabrics can give your room a whole new look. Their use is not only just to cover windows but also give an instant decor. Install a curtain rod or wire along your wall and hang one of your favorite patterns on it to brighten up the room and you can adjust the curtain's colors with that.

To sum it up, decorating your space is easy and doesn't have to be a challenge for you as a dweller or leaser of the apartment. It won't cost you much too. Give these tips a test run and guess what - you may just be delighted at the result.
