Songs resembles a terminology. Expressions such as musical idiom, musical intonation, are not merely metaphors. But music is not similar with expressions. The resemblance factors to some thing crucial, but vague. Anybody who requires it literally will be severely misled. Songs resembles vocabulary in the perception that it is a temporal sequence of articulated sounds which are far more than just sounds.

They say something, typically something human. The better the audio, the far more forcefully they say it. The succession of sounds is like logic: it can be appropriate or mistaken. But what has been explained are unable to be detached from the audio. Music produces no semiotic process.
